Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Remote Billing & Collections Clerk to join our Financial Services team. This 100% remote position is ideal for individuals with strong organizational skills and a keen eye for accuracy, who thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for managing client accounts, processing invoices, and ensuring timely collections to maintain healthy cash flow for our clients. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently while being an integral part of a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain client accounts, ensuring accurate billing records.
- Process invoices and statements promptly and accurately.
- Monitor accounts receivable to identify overdue payments.
- Initiate collections communications (emails, calls) with clients regarding outstanding balances.
- Resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Reconcile customer accounts and process payments.
- Prepare and present reports on accounts receivable status.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding billing and collections.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 months of experience in billing, collections, or general office administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business administration.
- Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle NetSuite).
- Familiarity with financial services industry regulations.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
