Job Description
Are you a compassionate individual looking for a fulfilling part-time role that fits perfectly into your morning schedule? Comfort Keepers in Murrieta, CA, is seeking dedicated Morning Caregivers to provide essential support to our clients. This position offers a consistent schedule from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, making it an ideal opportunity for individuals who are working from home or have other afternoon commitments. You will play a vital role in helping our clients maintain their independence and comfort in their own homes, ensuring their mornings start positively and productively.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with morning routines including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Prepare and serve nutritious breakfast and light snacks.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, tidying common areas, and making beds.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in stimulating activities like reading, conversation, or light exercise.
- Assist with errands and appointments as needed.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a compassionate demeanor.
- Ability to follow care plans accurately.
- Physical ability to assist clients with mobility and personal care.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving, CNA certification, or similar healthcare role.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Experience with dementia care or other specialized care needs.
- Familiarity with Murrieta and surrounding areas.
