Job Description
As a Mindfulness App Validator at Headspace, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our mindfulness and meditation application. This is a 100% remote position where you will systematically test new features, content, and updates to guarantee a seamless and impactful user experience. You will provide critical feedback, identify bugs, and verify content accuracy, directly contributing to the well-being of our global community. Your keen eye for detail and understanding of mindfulness principles will be essential in upholding Headspace’s commitment to excellence and delivering a high-quality product to our users.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform thorough, systematic testing of the Headspace mobile application across various platforms (iOS, Android).
- Validate new features, content releases (meditations, sleepcasts, exercises), and bug fixes against design specifications and user experience standards.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and inconsistencies using designated bug-tracking software.
- Provide detailed, constructive feedback on app functionality, usability, and content clarity from a user perspective.
- Verify the accuracy, tone, and quality of mindfulness content, ensuring alignment with Headspace's brand and instructional guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and content creators to ensure timely and high-quality releases.
- Participate in review meetings to discuss findings and proposed solutions.
- Stay updated with best practices in app testing and mindfulness principles.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in app testing, quality assurance, or a related role.
- Proficiency in using mobile applications on both iOS and Android platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly articulate issues and feedback.
- Demonstrated personal practice or strong interest in mindfulness, meditation, or mental wellness.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Asana).
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles and best practices.
- Certification or coursework in mindfulness, meditation instruction, or related wellness fields.
- Previous experience as a power user or beta tester for wellness applications.
