Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Laboratory Aide. This full-time position offers an excellent opportunity to start your career in healthcare, providing essential support to our laboratory operations. No prior experience is required; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient processing of laboratory specimens, contributing directly to patient care and diagnostic accuracy. Key Responsibilities
- Receive, label, and process laboratory specimens (blood, urine, tissue) with accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.
- Prepare specimens for testing, including centrifugation and aliquoting, ensuring proper storage conditions.
- Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents, notifying senior staff of shortages.
- Operate and maintain basic laboratory equipment under supervision.
- Perform routine cleaning and sterilization of laboratory glassware and work areas.
- Adhere strictly to all laboratory safety regulations, quality control standards, and HIPAA guidelines.
- Assist medical technologists and technicians with various tasks as needed.
- Accurately document all specimen information and actions in the laboratory information system.
- Communicate effectively with other laboratory staff, nurses, and clinicians.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior coursework in biology, chemistry, or related sciences.
- Experience in a customer service role.
