Job Description

Join Miracle-Ear as a Hearing Aid / Audiology Assistant and play a crucial role in our Midland, TX clinic. This dynamic position combines administrative duties with direct patient support, blending retail service with clinical assistance. You will be instrumental in creating a welcoming environment, supporting our Audiologists and Hearing Care Professionals, and guiding patients through their hearing care journey from initial consultation to ongoing maintenance. Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients, manage appointments, and handle scheduling and rescheduling.
  • Prepare examination rooms and equipment for patient appointments, ensuring cleanliness and readiness.
  • Assist Audiologists and Hearing Care Professionals during evaluations, fittings, and follow-up appointments.
  • Perform basic hearing aid maintenance, cleaning, and minor troubleshooting or repairs.
  • Educate patients on the proper care, usage, and maintenance of their hearing devices and accessories.
  • Manage patient records, update information, process insurance documentation, and handle billing inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of hearing aids, accessories, and office supplies, placing orders as needed.
  • Support retail sales by explaining product features, benefits, and current promotions to patients.
  • Handle incoming calls, answer patient questions, and direct complex inquiries to the appropriate professional.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinic environment.
  • Provide administrative support including data entry, filing, and managing correspondence.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven customer service and interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and scheduling software.
  • Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a busy environment.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a valued team member.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience (1+ year) in a medical office, retail sales, or customer service setting.
  • Associate's degree or certification in a related healthcare administrative field.
  • Familiarity with audiology terminology, hearing aid technology, or medical office procedures.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
