Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Support Aide to join our team in Pasco, WA. This vital role involves providing essential non-clinical support to patients, staff, and visitors within our hospital environment. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, organized individual with excellent communication skills, capable of ensuring smooth daily operations without the need for heavy lifting. Your contributions will directly enhance the patient experience and support our clinical teams by maintaining an organized, welcoming, and efficient environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide non-clinical assistance to patients, including wayfinding, comfort care (e.g., blanket requests, water), and emotional support.
  • Assist clinical staff with administrative tasks, such as organizing patient charts, preparing rooms for admission/discharge, and managing supplies.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for visitor inquiries, directing them appropriately and maintaining a welcoming environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of common areas, waiting rooms, and patient support spaces.
  • Facilitate internal communication by delivering messages, documents, and light items between departments.
  • Monitor inventory levels of non-medical supplies and submit reorder requests as needed.
  • Adhere strictly to all hospital policies, procedures, and privacy regulations (HIPAA).
  • Report any patient concerns or facility issues to the appropriate personnel promptly.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance service delivery.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a support, administrative, or customer service role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Demonstrated empathy and a patient-centered approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a hospital aide, volunteer, or similar role.
  • Certification in CPR/First Aid (non-clinical).
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
