Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically adept Cloud Support Associate with a strong focus on Azure and AWS platforms to join our dynamic team in Regina. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing frontline technical support, troubleshooting complex cloud infrastructure issues, and ensuring our clients receive exceptional service. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about cloud technology, eager to learn, and committed to delivering high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first and second-level technical support for cloud-based services, primarily on Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to virtual machines, networking, storage, databases, and other cloud services.
- Monitor cloud infrastructure performance and proactively identify potential issues.
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat in a timely and professional manner.
- Document all support interactions, resolutions, and configurations accurately in the ticketing system.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and other teams to escalate and resolve complex problems.
- Participate in on-call rotations as required to provide 24/7 support.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of knowledge base articles and technical documentation.
Required Skills
- 1+ years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or a similar technical role.
- Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts and services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
- Familiarity with either Azure or AWS, including core services like EC2/VMs, S3/Storage Accounts, VPC/VNETs.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Fundamentals, AWS Cloud Practitioner, CompTIA A+).
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Knowledge of ITIL best practices.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and incident management systems.
