Job Description
XPO Logistics is seeking dedicated Local CDL-A Drivers for our New Port Richey, Florida operations. This is an exciting opportunity for drivers who want to be home daily and enjoy a consistent schedule. You’ll be responsible for the safe and timely transport of goods within a designated local service area, primarily operating less-than-truckload (LTL) routes. Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle
- Transport freight to and from specified locations within a local service area
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment
- Load and unload freight as required, using appropriate equipment and safety procedures
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods
- Maintain accurate logbook entries and all required paperwork
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Minimum of 2 years (24 months) verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (MVR)
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
- Proficient in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to lift, push, and pull freight that weighs 50-75 pounds
- Strong commitment to safety
Preferred Qualifications
- Hazmat endorsement
- Tanker endorsement
- Experience with LTL freight operations
- Forklift certification
