Job Description

Join our manufacturing team in Charlotte, NC as a Mattress Stitching Line Helper. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and quality of our mattress production line. You will assist skilled stitchers and machine operators in various tasks related to assembling and finishing mattress components. This is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team to meet production targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist stitchers by preparing materials, positioning components, and ensuring a smooth workflow on the stitching line.
  • Load and unload mattress components and finished products from machines and conveyor belts.
  • Inspect materials and finished goods for quality defects and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, ensuring safety standards are met at all times.
  • Support inventory management by moving and organizing materials within the production area.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production goals and deadlines.
  • Follow all safety protocols and operational procedures diligently.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) regularly throughout a shift.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality discrepancies.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Basic understanding of English for safety instructions and team communication.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, especially in textiles or furniture.
  • Experience operating basic hand tools or production machinery.
  • A track record of working successfully in a team-oriented setting.
