Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Technical Support Engineer to join our dynamic remote team. In this role, you will be the first line of defense for our customers, providing expert technical support and troubleshooting for Microsoft Azure services. You will work with complex cloud environments, diagnose issues, implement solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction. This position requires deep technical knowledge of Azure, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for helping others succeed in the cloud.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support for Microsoft Azure services to global customers.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues related to Azure infrastructure, platform services, and applications.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering and product development, to escalate and resolve critical issues.
- Document technical solutions, best practices, and knowledge base articles to improve self-service and team efficiency.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through professional and timely support.
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide off-hours support as needed for critical incidents.
- Stay current with new Azure features, services, and technologies through continuous learning and training.
Required Skills
- Minimum 4 years of experience in technical support or system administration roles focused on cloud platforms.
- Demonstrable expertise with Microsoft Azure services (IaaS, PaaS, Networking, Security).
- Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows Server, Linux) and virtualization technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Python.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote, distributed team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or similar certifications.
- Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git, Jenkins).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Prior experience working in a large-scale enterprise or managed services environment.
