Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and reliable Aviation Parts Courier to join our critical logistics team in Katy, TX. In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for the urgent and secure transportation of essential aviation components to various aerospace clients, MRO facilities, and airports. This position demands exceptional attention to detail, a strong sense of urgency, and an impeccable driving record. You will play a crucial part in ensuring that aircraft maintenance and operations proceed without delays due to parts availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport critical aviation parts and equipment to designated locations within strict deadlines.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and aviation security protocols.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of delivery vehicles to ensure operational readiness.
- Verify accurate part identification, quantity, and documentation upon pickup and delivery.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and internal teams regarding delivery status and potential delays.
- Maintain meticulous records of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs.
- Handle sensitive and high-value components with utmost care and professionalism.
- Be available for on-call assignments and variable shift schedules, including nights and weekends, as required by urgent operational needs.
Required Skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no major infractions within the last 5 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of professional driving or courier experience, preferably in a time-critical environment.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Proficiency with navigation tools and GPS devices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in aviation logistics or parts delivery.
- Familiarity with aerospace terminology and component handling procedures.
- Possession of a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and delivery tracking systems.
