Job Description
Are you passionate about mobile technology and have a keen eye for detail? Microsoft is seeking a dedicated Part-time Weekend Remote QA Tester with a strong focus on app and mobile functionality. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge mobile applications across various platforms. This is a 100% remote position, perfect for individuals looking to contribute their skills on weekends, from the comfort of their home. You will be responsible for executing test cases, identifying bugs, and providing detailed feedback to our development teams, helping us deliver seamless user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute test plans and test cases for mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and defects using our bug tracking system.
- Perform thorough regression testing to ensure previously identified issues are resolved.
- Provide clear, concise, and detailed reports on testing progress and bug findings.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and test new features.
- Participate in test case reviews and contribute to improving test coverage.
- Stay up-to-date with new mobile technologies and industry best practices in QA.
Required Skills
- Familiarity with mobile operating systems (iOS and Android)
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting
- Basic understanding of software testing principles and methodologies
- Proficiency in using common mobile devices and tablets
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in a QA or software testing role, especially mobile testing
- Experience with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps)
- Familiarity with agile development processes
- Degree or certification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
