Job Description

Are you looking to kickstart your career in automotive service? Discount Tire in Henderson, NV is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Tire Fitter Assistant for an entry-level mechanical role. No prior experience is necessary – we provide comprehensive on-the-job training to help you develop valuable skills. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring our customers’ vehicles are safe and ready for the road.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist experienced technicians with tire installations, rotations, and repairs.
  • Mount and balance tires on wheels using specialized equipment.
  • Perform basic inspections of tires and wheels for wear and damage.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including tools and equipment.
  • Help customers with basic inquiries and direct them to appropriate staff.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Support inventory management by organizing and moving tires and wheels.
  • Learn and adhere to company policies and procedures regarding service and customer interaction.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude or interest in automotive work.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced service environment (not necessarily automotive).
  • Customer service experience.
