Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented WFH Pinterest Moderator to join our growing remote team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and integrity of online communities on the Pinterest platform, specifically focusing on content review, user interaction, and policy enforcement. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from your home office while contributing to a secure online experience for millions of users. You will play a vital part in identifying and addressing inappropriate content, maintaining a positive user experience, and upholding community guidelines. This role demands a keen eye for detail and a commitment to fostering a positive online environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively monitor user-generated content on Pinterest (pins, comments, boards) for adherence to community guidelines and terms of service.
- Identify and remove content that violates policies, including but not limited to spam, hate speech, misinformation, and graphic content.
- Review reported content efficiently and accurately, making informed decisions based on established guidelines.
- Engage with users to provide support, answer questions, and educate them on community policies when necessary.
- Escalate complex issues or policy gray areas to senior moderators or team leads.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of moderation guidelines and processes.
- Maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive content.
- Provide feedback on emerging trends and potential risks within the Pinterest community.
Required Skills
- Excellent written communication skills in English.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle nuances in content.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency with various social media platforms, especially Pinterest.
- High level of emotional intelligence and resilience when dealing with sensitive content.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated quiet workspace.
- Ability to adapt to evolving policies and procedures quickly.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in online content moderation, community management, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with moderation tools and content management systems.
- Familiarity with Pinterest's specific community guidelines and policies.
- Demonstrated ability to make consistent, unbiased decisions under pressure.
- Background in risk management, trust & safety, or online ethics.
- Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
