Job Description
Are you a curious and aspiring researcher with a passion for understanding user behavior and improving digital experiences? Google is looking for a Junior UI/UX Researcher to join our team for a student placement in Norwich. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and executing various UX research studies, including usability testing, interviews, surveys, and field studies.
- Collect, analyze, and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to identify user needs, pain points, and behaviors.
- Help create research reports, presentations, and other artifacts to communicate findings and recommendations to product teams.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and engineers to translate research insights into actionable design solutions.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of research methodologies and tools.
- Participate in design sprints and brainstorming sessions, bringing a user-centric perspective.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Cognitive Science, Information Science, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of UX research principles and methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficiency with common office and presentation software.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative research methods through academic projects or previous internships.
- Familiarity with UX research tools (e.g., user testing platforms, survey tools).
- Basic understanding of UI design principles and wireframing tools.
- A portfolio demonstrating academic projects or case studies related to UI/UX research.
