Job Description
We are seeking an exceptionally talented and highly motivated AI Engineer with a specialization in Visual Search to join our innovative team in Murrieta, CA. This role is crucial for enhancing our customer’s shopping and browsing experience by developing and deploying advanced visual search capabilities. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimizing machine learning models for image recognition, object detection, and similarity search, directly contributing to our core product offerings. If you have a strong background in computer vision, deep learning, and practical experience with large-scale visual search systems, this is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy highly scalable visual search algorithms and systems.
- Research and implement state-of-the-art deep learning models for image recognition, object detection, and similarity learning.
- Optimize visual search pipelines for performance, accuracy, and efficiency on large datasets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product managers, software engineers, UX designers) to integrate visual search features into various applications.
- Evaluate and improve the quality of visual search results through rigorous experimentation and A/B testing.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team's technical growth and best practices.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in computer vision and machine learning research.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience in AI/ML, with a strong focus on Computer Vision.
- Proficiency in deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
- Extensive experience with visual search, image recognition, object detection, and image retrieval techniques.
- Strong programming skills in Python; C++ experience is a plus.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and large-scale data processing.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality, production-ready AI solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with real-time visual search systems.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Publications in top-tier computer vision conferences (e.g., CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS).
