Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a cargo bike to deliver packages to residential and business customers within designated routes.
- Sort and load packages onto the cargo bike, ensuring proper organization for efficient delivery.
- Verify package contents, obtain customer signatures, and handle cash-on-delivery transactions when required.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups using handheld devices.
- Communicate effectively with customers, dispatch, and supervisors regarding delivery status or issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and UPS safety guidelines.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the cargo bike to ensure it is in good working condition.
Required Skills
- Ability to ride a bicycle for extended periods and lift packages up to 70 lbs.
- Strong physical stamina and endurance.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Basic navigation skills and familiarity with local streets.
- Good communication and customer service abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in delivery, courier services, or a similar role.
- Knowledge of Mesa, Arizona, and surrounding areas.
