Job Description

Are you looking for an entry-level opportunity to start a career in outdoor maintenance? GutterPRO NI is seeking a motivated and reliable Gutter Cleaning Trainee to join our team in Derry/Londonderry. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn a valuable trade from the ground up, with full training and all necessary safety gear provided. No prior experience is required – just a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a comfortable attitude towards working at heights (with proper safety protocols). You will work alongside experienced technicians, learning best practices for gutter cleaning, inspection, and minor repairs. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist experienced gutter cleaning technicians on various job sites.
  • Learn and apply proper safety procedures for working at heights and using equipment.
  • Operate and maintain specialist gutter cleaning tools, including vacuum systems and ladders.
  • Perform thorough cleaning of gutters and downpipes to remove debris, leaves, and blockages.
  • Conduct basic inspections of guttering systems for damage or potential issues.
  • Assist with minor gutter repairs under supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work vehicle and equipment.
  • Interact professionally with clients, representing GutterPRO NI's high standards.
  • Adhere to all company policies and health and safety regulations.

Required Skills

  • No prior experience required; full training provided.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and meticulously.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Comfortable working at heights (with full safety equipment and training).
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift and carry equipment.
  • Reliable and punctual with excellent attendance.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid UK driving license (desirable, but not essential for initial trainee role).
  • Prior experience in a manual labour or outdoor role.
  • Basic knowledge of building maintenance or property services.
