Job Description

As an HHA, you will provide essential personal care and support to clients in their homes, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide light housekeeping tasks that directly relate to patient care, such as tidying patient areas.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring patients receive proper nutrition.
- Monitor and report changes in the patient's condition to the supervising nurse or case manager.
- Help patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as directed.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
- Document services provided and observations accurately and timely.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR certification (will provide training if not certified).
- Previous experience in a caregiving role (personal or professional).
- Understanding of basic medical terminology.
