Job Description

No prior experience is required – we provide comprehensive training to ensure your success. As an HHA, you will provide essential personal care and support to clients in their homes, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide light housekeeping tasks that directly relate to patient care, such as tidying patient areas.
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring patients receive proper nutrition.
  • Monitor and report changes in the patient's condition to the supervising nurse or case manager.
  • Help patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as directed.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
  • Document services provided and observations accurately and timely.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPR certification (will provide training if not certified).
  • Previous experience in a caregiving role (personal or professional).
  • Understanding of basic medical terminology.
