Job Description
Are you an energetic individual who enjoys being active and working outdoors? Sobeys is looking for a dedicated Cart Collection Attendant to join our team in Edmonton. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring our shopping carts are readily available for customers and maintaining a tidy parking lot. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who likes physical work and contributing to a positive customer experience in a dynamic retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect shopping carts from various points in the parking lot and store them securely.
- Transport collected carts into the store, ensuring a continuous supply for customers.
- Perform regular checks of the parking lot for misplaced carts or potential hazards.
- Maintain a clean and organized parking lot, including picking up litter.
- Provide friendly assistance to customers as needed, such as helping with groceries or directions.
- Operate cart retrieval equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the store team to ensure a smooth operation.
Required Skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to walk, push, pull, and lift objects repeatedly.
- Excellent attention to detail for identifying and clearing hazards.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic communication skills.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
