Job Description
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Blind & Curtain Rail Fitter to join our team in Sunderland. This role involves the precise measurement, fitting, and installation of a wide range of blinds, curtain rails, and other window furnishings in residential and commercial properties. You will be a key representative of Hillarys, ensuring every installation meets our high standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct accurate measurements of windows and spaces for blinds, curtains, and rails.
- Install a variety of window furnishings including roller, vertical, Venetian, Roman blinds, and curtain rails.
- Ensure all installations are completed to the highest standard of precision and quality.
- Provide excellent customer service, advising clients on product care and operation.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, both on-site and in company vehicles.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any installation issues promptly and professionally.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage and track inventory of tools and materials needed for installations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in fitting blinds, curtains, or similar fixtures.
- Strong practical skills and proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision.
- Ability to read and interpret measurements accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid UK driving license.
Preferred Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in a relevant trade (e.g., carpentry, general construction).
- Experience working directly with customers in their homes.
- Familiarity with Hillarys product range.
