Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Logistics Planner to join our dynamic team in Little Rock, AR. In this role, you will support the optimization of our supply chain and logistics operations, ensuring the efficient movement of goods within our complex network. This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging professional to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment, contributing to critical projects that impact our global business. You will work closely with senior planners, using data and analytical tools to enhance our logistics strategies and execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of logistics plans to optimize inventory flow, transportation, and warehousing.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations, identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., procurement, merchandising, IT) and external partners to ensure smooth execution of logistics activities.
- Utilize logistics software and systems to track shipments, manage routes, and analyze data.
- Prepare reports on logistics performance, costs, and compliance.
- Support the resolution of logistical issues, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in logistics and supply chain management.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with logistics software or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
- Internship or previous work experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations
- Basic understanding of transportation modes and their associated costs
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
