Job Description
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Barback to support our bustling bar operations during peak nightlife hours. This role is critical to ensuring our bartenders can focus on crafting excellent drinks and providing top-notch customer service, by keeping the bar stocked, clean, and organized. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently restock all bar supplies, including liquor, beer, wine, ice, glassware, and garnishes throughout shifts.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including wiping down surfaces, sweeping, and mopping.
- Assist with preparing fresh garnishes and mixing ingredients as needed.
- Change kegs and retrieve additional stock from storage areas.
- Collect, wash, and polish glassware, ensuring a constant supply for bartenders.
- Manage waste removal and recycling throughout the shift.
- Support bartenders with customer service tasks, such as clearing tables and assisting with minor requests, to ensure a smooth guest experience.
- Monitor restroom cleanliness and restock supplies as necessary.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy cases (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of bar operations or a strong willingness to learn.
- Must be at least 18 years old to work in a bar environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barback or in a similar hospitality role.
- Knowledge of craft beers and spirits.
- Valid Florida Food Handler's card or willingness to obtain one.
