Job Description

As a Remote Google Security Admin at Accenture, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our clients’ critical data and infrastructure within the Google Cloud ecosystem. This is a 100% remote opportunity where you will leverage your expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) security services, Google Workspace security, and general cybersecurity best practices to implement, monitor, and maintain robust security controls. You will work within a dynamic team to identify vulnerabilities, respond to security incidents, and ensure compliance with industry regulations, all while contributing to a secure and resilient environment for our diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage security configurations for Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services including IAM, VPC Service Controls, Cloud Armor, and Security Command Center.
  • Administer and configure security settings within Google Workspace (formerly G Suite), including data loss prevention (DLP), access controls, and auditing.
  • Monitor security alerts, logs, and events from GCP and Google Workspace, investigating and responding to potential threats or incidents.
  • Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scanning of Google Cloud environments, recommending and implementing remediation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation aligned with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security best practices into CI/CD pipelines and application deployments.
  • Participate in security incident response activities, including investigation, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysis.
  • Stay current with the latest Google Cloud security features, threats, and mitigation techniques.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in administering and securing Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Strong understanding of Google Workspace security features and administration.
  • Proficiency with IAM, networking, data encryption, and logging within GCP.
  • Experience with security monitoring tools and incident response processes.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer certification.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation.
  • Knowledge of other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Experience in a consulting or client-facing role.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
