Job Description
Join PepsiCo as a Route Sales Representative and become a key player in delivering our iconic products to customers throughout the Colorado Springs area. This is a full-time position where you will operate a box truck, managing your own route to ensure product availability and excellent customer service. You will be responsible for selling, merchandising, and delivering PepsiCo beverages and snacks to assigned accounts. This role offers a base salary combined with a commission structure, rewarding your sales performance and dedication. We are looking for an energetic, customer-focused individual who is ready to drive sales and maintain strong relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily route assignments, including product delivery, merchandising, and sales activities to assigned accounts.
- Drive a box truck safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with store managers and personnel to optimize product placement and sales.
- Sell in new products, promotions, and displays to increase volume and market share.
- Ensure proper product rotation and merchandising standards are met, keeping shelves stocked and appealing.
- Manage inventory levels in the truck and at customer locations, minimizing out-of-stocks and maximizing sales opportunities.
- Accurately complete all required paperwork, including invoices, delivery manifests, and sales reports.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Collect payments from customers as required.
- Maintain cleanliness of company vehicle and equipment.
- Achieve sales targets and performance metrics on a consistent basis.
Required Skills
- Valid Class B CDL (Commercial Driver's License) or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire (training provided for qualified candidates).
- Clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Basic math skills for order management and invoicing.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in route sales, DSD (Direct Store Delivery), or merchandising.
- Experience operating a box truck or similar commercial vehicle.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Familiarity with the Colorado Springs geographical area.
