Job Description
Join the FedEx Ground team as a Package Sorter! We are looking for motivated individuals to help us move packages through our fast-paced distribution center. This is a critical role that ensures packages are sorted accurately and efficiently, contributing directly to our commitment to timely delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload packages from trucks and conveyor belts.
- Scan and sort packages by destination, ensuring accuracy.
- Move packages safely and efficiently throughout the facility.
- Handle packages with care to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily goals.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is a plus, but not required.
