Job Description

OptumRx is seeking a detail-oriented and highly efficient Pharmacy Data Processor to join our remote team. In this high-volume data entry role, you will be responsible for accurately processing a wide range of pharmacy-related data, ensuring the integrity and timeliness of information vital to our operations. This is a 100% remote position, offering the flexibility to work from your home office while contributing to a critical aspect of healthcare delivery. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional typing skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment. You will play a crucial role in maintaining precise records, supporting claims processing, and ensuring the smooth flow of pharmacy information, ultimately impacting patient care and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately enter and process high volumes of pharmacy-related data into various systems and databases.
  • Review and verify data for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to established guidelines.
  • Identify and resolve data discrepancies or inconsistencies, escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of all patient and proprietary information.
  • Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and company policies and procedures.
  • Support claims processing by ensuring all required data is correctly entered and verified.
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure data integrity and workflow efficiency.
  • Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data processing skills and knowledge.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in high-volume data entry or a similar administrative role.
  • Exceptional typing speed and accuracy (minimum 60 WPM).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain productivity in a remote work environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, or insurance setting.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology or pharmacy-specific software.
  • Associate's degree or higher in a related field.
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
