Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a PRN (pro re nata, or ‘as needed’) position at our New Port Richey facility. This role is perfect for LPNs looking for flexibility, high hourly pay, and the ability to choose shifts without a long-term commitment. As a PRN LPN, you will provide essential patient care, working collaboratively with our nursing team to ensure the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and record vital signs, patient symptoms, and medical information accurately.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Collaborate with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance, disease prevention, and medication management.
- Perform wound care, catheter care, and other nursing procedures.
- Document all patient care activities, observations, and responses to interventions in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Required Skills
- Current and valid LPN license in the State of Florida.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as an LPN in a clinical setting.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to varying patient needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in acute care or hospital setting.
- Specialized certifications (e.g., IV certification).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
