Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Tally Clerk to join our FedEx Logistics team in Milwaukee. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments, with a strong emphasis on data entry and database management. The successful candidate will be responsible for meticulously tallying goods, verifying quantities against documentation, and updating our central database systems. This position is strictly focused on data processing and clerical tasks, meaning there will be no direct phone interaction with customers or external parties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately tally and record incoming and outgoing shipments, materials, and products.
  • Verify quantities, item numbers, and descriptions against shipping manifests, invoices, and other documentation.
  • Perform precise data entry into internal database systems, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Identify and report discrepancies or damaged goods to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Maintain organized and accessible physical and digital records of all tallies and related documents.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth flow of goods and information.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
  • Assist with periodic inventory counts and reconciliation tasks.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in data entry and database management (e.g., Microsoft Access, proprietary logistics software).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written communication skills.

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a logistics, warehouse, or clerical role.
