Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and organized Pharmacy Inventory Clerk with a logistics focus to join our team in Vacaville, CA. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity with full training provided, ideal for individuals eager to start a career in healthcare logistics and pharmacy operations. You will play a crucial role in managing pharmaceutical inventory, ensuring accuracy, proper storage, and efficient distribution to support our pharmacy services and patient needs. Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unpack, and verify incoming pharmaceutical shipments against purchase orders and invoices.
  • Organize and store inventory in designated areas, ensuring proper rotation and adherence to storage requirements (e.g., temperature control).
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies, reporting any variances to management.
  • Assist in preparing outgoing shipments for other CVS Health locations or patient delivery, ensuring accurate labeling and documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe inventory storage area in compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Operate basic material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks) safely and efficiently, once trained.
  • Monitor inventory levels to identify potential stock-outs or overstock situations and communicate needs to procurement.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure timely availability of medications and supplies.
  • Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge of pharmacy products, inventory management systems, and safety protocols.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Basic computer proficiency (e.g., data entry, email).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in inventory management, retail, or a warehouse setting.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy operations or medical terminology.
  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee or Technician (where applicable).
