Job Description

Key Responsibilities
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist clients with ambulation and transfers, using appropriate safety measures.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and tidying client living areas.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
- Engage clients in stimulating activities and provide companionship.
- Monitor and report changes in client's health status or behavior to the supervising nurse.
- Accurately document services provided in accordance with care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients.
Required Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current Home Health Aide (HHA) certification in California
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care or a similar healthcare setting
- CPR certification
- Knowledge of basic first aid
- Ability to speak Spanish (a plus in some neighborhoods)
