Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Assist clients with ambulation and transfers, using appropriate safety measures.
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and tidying client living areas.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
  • Engage clients in stimulating activities and provide companionship.
  • Monitor and report changes in client's health status or behavior to the supervising nurse.
  • Accurately document services provided in accordance with care plans.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy environment for clients.

Required Skills

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current Home Health Aide (HHA) certification in California
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in home care or a similar healthcare setting
  • CPR certification
  • Knowledge of basic first aid
  • Ability to speak Spanish (a plus in some neighborhoods)
