Job Description
Are you passionate about aesthetics and eager to dive into the world of event design? The Event Factor is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Event Decorator Assistant to join our dynamic team in New Port Richey. This is a unique opportunity for an individual with little to no prior experience to learn floral arrangements, table design, prop styling, and overall event decor from seasoned professionals. You will play a crucial role in bringing our clients’ dream events to life, assisting with everything from preparation to setup and breakdown. Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead decorators with the preparation, setup, and breakdown of event decor elements, including floral arrangements, table settings, linens, and props.
- Learn and apply techniques for floral design, color theory, and spatial arrangement under direct supervision.
- Handle and organize decor inventory, ensuring items are clean, well-maintained, and ready for events.
- Transport decor items to and from event venues, assisting with loading and unloading.
- Support the team in maintaining a clean and organized workspace and storage area.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless event execution and client satisfaction.
- Adhere to project timelines and quality standards, ensuring all decor elements meet The Event Factor's high standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support event production needs.
Required Skills
- Eagerness and strong desire to learn about event decoration, floral design, and table styling.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
- Physical stamina to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.
- Reliable transportation to our workshop and various event venues.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of design principles or an artistic inclination.
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work independently when necessary.
