Job Description
Join our dedicated team as a Quality Control Inspector, focusing on the meticulous inspection of our premium beauty products. Your role is critical in upholding The Estée Lauder Companies’ renowned standards of excellence, ensuring every product that reaches our customers is perfect. You will be responsible for conducting thorough visual and functional checks, identifying any deviations from specifications, and documenting findings to support our commitment to superior quality. This is an on-site position vital to our manufacturing and packaging processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed visual inspections of incoming raw materials, in-process components, and finished beauty products according to established specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct functional tests on product features to ensure proper operation and adherence to performance criteria.
- Accurately record and document inspection results, including any non-conformances or defects, using digital and paper-based systems.
- Isolate and tag rejected materials or products, ensuring they are properly segregated and processed for further review.
- Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to communicate inspection findings and support corrective actions.
- Maintain a clean and organized inspection area, adhering to all safety and hygiene protocols.
- Assist in the review and update of quality control procedures and work instructions.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong observational skills.
- Ability to accurately distinguish colors, textures, and subtle cosmetic flaws.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite for data entry).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently as well as part of a team.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (1+ years) in a quality control or assurance role, preferably within the beauty, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing industry.
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant quality systems.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience with quality inspection tools and measurement equipment.
