Job Description
Join Electronic Arts as a Remote Game Tester specializing in EA Sports titles! This is a fantastic opportunity for passionate gamers with a keen eye for detail to contribute to the quality of our beloved sports franchises from the comfort of your own home. We are looking for dedicated individuals to identify, document, and report bugs and glitches, ensuring our games deliver an unparalleled experience for players worldwide. A company laptop will be provided for this 100% Work From Home position.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute test cases and test plans for various EA Sports titles across multiple platforms.
- Accurately identify, reproduce, and document software defects (bugs) using our internal bug tracking system.
- Provide clear, concise, and comprehensive bug reports including steps to reproduce, expected results, and actual results.
- Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing to ensure previously resolved issues remain fixed.
- Provide constructive feedback on game design, usability, and overall player experience.
- Collaborate effectively with QA leads, developers, and other team members in a remote environment.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all unreleased game content and company information.
- Adhere to project schedules and deliver high-quality test results within deadlines.
Required Skills
- Strong passion for video games, especially sports titles (e.g., FIFA, Madden NFL, NHL).
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies.
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication in English.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to navigate various software applications.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
- Problem-solving aptitude and a curious mindset.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection suitable for remote work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in game testing or quality assurance is a plus.
- Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
- Experience with various gaming platforms (PC, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch).
- Knowledge of software development life cycles (SDLC) or testing methodologies.
- Ability to adapt to new tools and processes quickly.
