Job Description
As a Pharmacy Floor Coordinator with a focus on Warehouse & Logistics, you will play a critical role in the efficient operation of our pharmaceutical distribution center. This position involves overseeing the day-to-day coordination of warehouse activities, ensuring the smooth flow of pharmaceutical products from receiving to dispatch. You will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing storage, and coordinating with various teams to meet strict delivery schedules and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping of pharmaceutical products.
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular cycle counts to ensure accuracy, resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Optimize warehouse layout and product placement for maximum efficiency and space utilization.
- Oversee the proper handling and storage of temperature-sensitive and controlled substances in compliance with regulations.
- Coordinate with logistics partners and internal teams to schedule deliveries and shipments, ensuring on-time performance.
- Train and mentor junior warehouse staff on best practices, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall warehouse performance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all company policies and OSHA regulations.
- Prepare daily operational reports and communicate status updates to management.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery safely and efficiently.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in warehouse operations or logistics, preferably in a pharmaceutical or healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles and logistics processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Certification in forklift operation or other material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations (e.g., FDA, DEA) related to storage and handling.
- Experience with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
