Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join Google’s dynamic legal team. This role supports our legal professionals, contributing to the efficient operation of our legal department. You will be instrumental in managing legal documents, scheduling, and providing comprehensive administrative assistance, ensuring smooth workflows in a secure remote/office workspace environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain legal documentation, including drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal correspondence, briefs, and other documents.
- Organize and maintain legal files, both physical and electronic, ensuring proper categorization and easy retrieval.
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for legal professionals.
- Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documentation.
- Conduct basic legal research and gather information as requested.
- Liaise with internal departments, external counsel, and clients with professionalism and discretion.
- Provide general administrative support, including answering phones, managing emails, and ordering supplies.
- Ensure confidentiality and adherence to data protection regulations.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or similar administrative role within a legal environment.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Legal Secretarial qualification or equivalent certification.
- Experience with document management systems (DMS) and e-filing.
- Knowledge of UK legal system and regulations.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, global organization.
