Job Description
Join Pinch A Penny Pool Patio Spa as a Seasonal Pool Cleaner this summer! This is a fantastic opportunity for motivated 14-year-old teens looking for outdoor work, active responsibilities, and a chance to earn money during the summer break. You will assist our experienced pool technicians in maintaining residential swimming pools, ensuring they are clean, safe, and ready for enjoyment. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being outdoors, is reliable, and eager to learn the basics of pool maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians with the cleaning of residential swimming pools.
- Skim pool surface for leaves and debris.
- Empty skimmer and pump baskets.
- Brush pool walls and steps.
- Vacuum pool bottoms as instructed.
- Learn about proper water chemistry and pool equipment (under supervision).
- Maintain a clean and organized work vehicle and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Provide friendly and respectful service to customers.
Required Skills
- Must be 14 years old and legally eligible to work.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Eagerness to learn and follow instructions.
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with outdoor chores or light manual labor is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to swim is beneficial, but not mandatory.
