Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team in Missoula, MT. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of repair and maintenance tasks on our diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections on company vehicles and equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in trucks, vans, and material handling equipment.
  • Conduct engine, transmission, brake, steering, and suspension system repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex vehicle systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Order and manage parts inventory necessary for repairs.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development programs to stay current with industry advancements.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in fleet or heavy equipment maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel and gasoline engine repair.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing vehicle electrical systems.
  • Ability to perform brake, suspension, and steering system repairs.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic software and tools.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ASE certifications (Automotive Service Excellence).
  • Vocational or technical degree in automotive or diesel technology.
  • Experience with hydraulic systems and material handling equipment.
  • CDL (Commercial Driver's License) or ability to obtain one.
