Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician to join our team in Missoula, MT. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of repair and maintenance tasks on our diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and inspections on company vehicles and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in trucks, vans, and material handling equipment.
- Conduct engine, transmission, brake, steering, and suspension system repairs.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex vehicle systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Order and manage parts inventory necessary for repairs.
- Participate in ongoing training and development programs to stay current with industry advancements.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in fleet or heavy equipment maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of diesel and gasoline engine repair.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing vehicle electrical systems.
- Ability to perform brake, suspension, and steering system repairs.
- Familiarity with diagnostic software and tools.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- ASE certifications (Automotive Service Excellence).
- Vocational or technical degree in automotive or diesel technology.
- Experience with hydraulic systems and material handling equipment.
- CDL (Commercial Driver's License) or ability to obtain one.
