Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and physically capable Heavy Duty Shed Racker to join our team in Cedar Rapids, IA. This full-time, on-site position offers weekly pay and requires proficiency with various tools to assemble, organize, and maintain our outdoor shed inventory. Key Responsibilities
- Assemble heavy-duty sheds and other outdoor structures according to manufacturer specifications.
- Operate various hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Organize and maintain shed display areas, ensuring proper product placement and presentation.
- Load and unload shed components and finished products using appropriate equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections of sheds for damage or defects, reporting issues as necessary.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Assist customers with shed inquiries and provide basic product information when needed.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in using common hand and power tools (drills, saws, wrenches, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret assembly instructions and blueprints.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction, assembly, warehousing, or a similar physical role.
- Forklift operation certification or willingness to obtain.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in a retail or customer service environment.
