Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Appliance Fulfillment Staff member with a focus on big box retail operations. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring that appliances are accurately received, organized, and prepared for customer pickup or delivery. This position requires strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to excellent customer service. You will work within a fast-paced environment, handling a variety of large and small appliances, maintaining inventory accuracy, and assisting customers with their appliance needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, unload, and inspect incoming appliance shipments, verifying against purchase orders.
  • Organize and store appliances in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper labeling and accessibility.
  • Prepare appliances for customer pickup or delivery, including staging, loading, and performing pre-delivery inspections.
  • Assist customers with appliance inquiries, product location, and loading of purchased items.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment within the appliance department and storage areas.
  • Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks) safely and efficiently.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in resolving discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure smooth fulfillment processes.

Required Skills

  • Ability to lift and move heavy merchandise (up to 50+ lbs) regularly.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency for inventory management.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a retail, warehouse, or logistics environment.
  • Familiarity with various types of home appliances.
  • Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment (certification a plus).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
