Job Description
Are you looking for an immediate opportunity to join a dynamic team without needing a driver’s license? FedEx Express is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our Boston team as a Drivers Mate. In this role, you will be an essential part of our delivery operations, working alongside a licensed FedEx driver to ensure timely and accurate package delivery to homes and businesses. This is an entry-level position where your dedication and physical agility are key. No previous experience is required, and we provide comprehensive training to get you up to speed. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the FedEx driver with the safe and efficient delivery and pickup of packages.
- Organize packages within the delivery vehicle according to delivery sequence.
- Load and unload packages from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Navigate routes with the driver, providing assistance with directions and logistical support.
- Communicate effectively with customers upon delivery, ensuring a positive experience.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support daily operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 75 lbs (with assistance for heavier items).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented mindset.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a physical labor or customer service role.
- Familiarity with the Boston metropolitan area.
