Job Description

Xbox Game Studios is looking for dedicated Virtual Playtesters to join our remote team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of exciting new games from the comfort of your own home, without the need for phone calls. We value your honest feedback and critical thinking to ensure our games are polished, engaging, and ready for launch. This is a 100% remote position.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute test plans and scenarios to identify bugs, glitches, and design flaws.
- Provide detailed, clear, and concise written feedback on gameplay, mechanics, balance, and overall user experience.
- Document issues accurately using our internal bug tracking system.
- Collaborate asynchronously with the development team to clarify issues and provide additional context.
- Adhere to strict confidentiality agreements regarding unreleased game content.
- Maintain a stable internet connection and a quiet testing environment.
Required Skills
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong written communication skills in English.
- Proficiency with various gaming platforms (PC, Xbox consoles).
- Ability to follow complex instructions and test plans.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting.
- A passion for video games across multiple genres.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in game testing or quality assurance (personal or professional).
- Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
