Job Description
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of seniors? Home Instead is seeking compassionate and dedicated In-Home Support Aides to provide essential non-medical care to our clients in Madison, Alabama, and the surrounding areas. This role offers a flexible roster, allowing you to choose shifts that fit your schedule while providing meaningful support and companionship to those who need it most. As an In-Home Support Aide, you will empower seniors to maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes. We are looking for empathetic individuals committed to providing reliable and high-quality care. No prior professional caregiving experience is required; we provide comprehensive paid training to ensure your success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and engage in stimulating activities such as conversation, games, and hobbies.
- Assist clients with personal care activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, tidying up living areas, and washing dishes.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and assist with feeding as required.
- Provide medication reminders and assist with scheduling appointments.
- Offer safe and reliable transportation for errands, medical appointments, and social outings.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the Home Instead office team.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and healthy environment for clients.
- Observe and report any changes in the client's physical, mental, or emotional condition.
Required Skills

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving, whether professional or personal (e.g., caring for a family member).
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
