Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our legal department, providing essential support to attorneys and paralegals. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and organize legal documents, including filing, scanning, and retrieving confidential information.
- Schedule meetings, appointments, and court dates, and manage calendars for assigned attorneys.
- Prepare, proofread, and format legal correspondence, reports, and other documents.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, email, and phone calls professionally and efficiently.
- Maintain client files and databases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm policies.
- Assist with basic legal research and information gathering as directed.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and process expense reports.
- Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies and maintaining office equipment.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
