Job Description
We are seeking highly skilled and compassionate Advanced Practice Providers to join our diverse teams across various specialties within St. Luke’s Health System in Meridian, Idaho. This umbrella role encompasses opportunities for Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Certified Nurse Midwives, and Clinical Nurse Specialists. Successful candidates will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care, collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional healthcare outcomes. Opportunities are available in primary care, specialty clinics, and hospital settings. We value dedication to patient well-being, clinical excellence, and continuous professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history taking and physical examinations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' health problems.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and other therapeutic interventions.
- Provide patient education and counseling on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and integrated patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to evidence-based practice.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records.
Required Skills
- Current advanced practice licensure in Idaho (e.g., APRN, PA-C).
- Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited program for your specific advanced practice role.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in a relevant specialty area.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- BLS and ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
Preferred Qualifications
- Board certification in a relevant specialty.
- 3+ years of experience in an advanced practice role.
- Experience with specific patient populations or complex care management.
- Participation in professional organizations.
