Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable Bulk Warehouse Associate with a heavy industrial focus to join our team in Fullerton, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling, storage, and movement of large and heavy materials within our industrial warehouse environment. This position requires meticulous attention to safety protocols, experience with heavy equipment, and a strong work ethic. Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy material handling equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload bulk materials, such as large crates, pallets, and machinery components, from trucks and containers.
- Accurately receive, store, and organize inventory in designated heavy industrial warehouse locations.
- Perform quality checks on incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company and OSHA safety regulations.
- Assist with periodic inventory counts and ensure accurate record-keeping of material movements.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and achieve operational goals.
- Perform routine pre-operational checks on equipment and report any maintenance issues.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in a heavy industrial warehouse or similar environment.
- Proficiency in operating various material handling equipment, including sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift, push, and pull heavy objects up to 75 lbs regularly.
- Strong understanding and commitment to warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory.
- Basic mathematical skills and the ability to read and understand shipping documents.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid certification for forklift operation.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Familiarity with inventory control best practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
