Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Content Metadata Analyst to join our remote team. This is a 100% remote position, and all necessary equipment will be provided to ensure you have the tools to succeed from day one. In this role, you will be responsible for standardizing, enriching, and managing metadata for a vast library of digital content, ensuring optimal discoverability, organization, and compliance across various platforms. You will play a crucial role in enhancing user experience and supporting our content strategy by maintaining high-quality metadata.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement metadata standards, guidelines, and best practices for various content types.
- Perform extensive analysis, tagging, and enrichment of digital content metadata to improve searchability and classification.
- Conduct regular audits of existing metadata to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to company standards.
- Collaborate with content creators, product managers, and engineering teams to integrate metadata requirements into content workflows and systems.
- Identify and resolve metadata discrepancies and anomalies through meticulous research and problem-solving.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of metadata management tools and processes.
- Provide training and support to internal teams on metadata best practices and usage.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in metadata management, content classification, and information architecture.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in metadata management, content classification, or information architecture.
- Strong understanding of metadata schemas, taxonomies, and controlled vocabularies.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with content management systems (CMS) and digital asset management (DAM) platforms.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Science, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience with SQL or other querying languages for data analysis.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
- Project management experience or experience coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of SEO principles related to content discoverability.
