Job Description
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on young lives? KinderCare Education is seeking a dedicated Daycare Assistant to join our team in Cherry Creek, Denver. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to learn and grow within the early childhood education field, even if you have no prior experience. You will play a crucial role in creating a supportive and stimulating environment for children, assisting lead teachers, and contributing to the daily operations of our center. Key Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing daily educational activities appropriate for various age groups.
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment.
- Support children with their personal care routines, including feeding, diapering/potty training, and dressing.
- Observe and document children's progress and behavior, communicating effectively with lead teachers and parents.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere where every child feels valued and encouraged to explore.
- Adhere to all KinderCare and state licensing regulations regarding child care and safety.
Required Skills
- Genuine love for working with young children and a nurturing demeanor.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 25 lbs and being on your feet for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
- Previous experience in a childcare setting (volunteer or paid) is a plus but not required.
- Enrollment in or interest in pursuing Early Childhood Education (ECE) coursework.
