Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in Fort Worth, Texas. As a crucial member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, stacking, and organizing products using counterbalance and reach forklifts. Key Responsibilities
- Operate counterbalance and reach forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload, stack, and move materials.
- Perform daily equipment checks and minor maintenance on forklifts, reporting any issues promptly.
- Accurately pick, stage, and store products according to warehouse procedures and inventory control systems.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with manual loading and unloading of freight as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring aisles and storage areas are free of obstructions.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and achieve operational goals.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or safety hazards.
- Complete necessary paperwork and utilize handheld scanning devices for inventory tracking.
Required Skills
- Proven experience operating both counterbalance and reach forklifts.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory.
- Basic math and communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional forklift operating experience in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory scanning technology.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proven track record of working effectively in a team-oriented setting.
