Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Industrial Degreaser to join our high-tech manufacturing team in Schaumburg, IL. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and optimal functioning of machinery, equipment, and work areas through precise degreasing and cleaning procedures. This position is essential for maintaining a safe, efficient, and compliant production environment, contributing directly to the quality and reliability of our advanced industrial products. This is an on-site position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough degreasing and cleaning of industrial machinery, components, and factory floors according to established schedules and safety protocols.
  • Utilize appropriate cleaning agents, tools, and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Inspect equipment and areas for residual contaminants and ensure high standards of cleanliness are met.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Document cleaning activities and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.
  • Support waste management and disposal procedures for degreasing byproducts.
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to coordinate cleaning activities with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to cleaning processes and environmental safety.

Required Skills

  • Ability to understand and follow safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe application.
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with various cleaning equipment (e.g., pressure washers, scrubbers).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
